GetSET Engagement Scholarship & College Application Event - 9/8/18

The SWE GetSET College and Scholarship application event is targeted for our 2018 GetSET Seniors or past Seniors interested in assistance on applying to college or applying for college scholarships. If this fits your current situation, please consider joining us at the Cambrian Library September 8th between 9am - Noon. We will be meeting in the community room and using the computers in the library to assist with application submissions and essay writing.

Participants should bring a draft of any essays for comments and we will address questions on college applications

GetSET Artistic Contest. We need a design for 2018 GetSET Summer Week t-shirt. Select one from the choices below or draw a design for all three. All designs will be considered for use on the t-shirt. Winner will be announced, and t-shirts will be printed for all 2018 GetSET participants. Prize will be awarded to winner. Submit your artwork to by Monday June 11.

Girls Day @ the Tech - 3/17/2018

A day devoted to fun, STEM learning and celebrating the achievements of women in science and engineering? Count us in!

You are invited to Everybody Makes: Girls Day @ The Tech Saturday, March 17. This special event offers hands-on activities designed to empower girls along with their siblings and parents. Explore VR with Intel, visit the San Jose Public Library’s Maker[Space]Ship, learn how to develop an app and more!

You will also meet women doing great things in tech including the founder of DREAMer’s Roadmap, an app connecting DREAMers with resources to go to college; the creators of Shadow’s Edge, a free mobile game to empower teens to take charge of their emotional health; and an aerospace engineer from NASA.

The best part? All activities are free with admission! Plan your trip now.

Lockheed Martin Code Quest Challenge 2018

Registration for Code Quest 2018 is now open. 
Teams will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Your school or Outreach program may register at only one location. Registration is open, please visit your site-specific location page at the link below for information on teams and participation. Registration for all sites will close on Friday, March 30.  Any girls wishing to create a GetSET Team to participate should let me know -
